WGS Giving Day is a day-long fundraising campaign that brings together the Withington community, pupils, parents, alumnae, former parents, former staff and friends, to support bursaries at Withington Girls’ School.
This year’s Giving Day marks the 50th anniversary of the Marjorie Hulme Bursary Fund and centres on a sponsored walk taking place on Thurday 18th June, recreating the very first bursary fundraising activity led by Miss Hulme in 1976.
We’re walking so others can follow and honouring a legacy of opportunity while securing access to a Withington education for future generations.
All donations, whatever their size, made on Giving Day will support the Marjorie Hulme Bursary Fund, helping talented girls to access a Withington education regardless of financial circumstances.
You can read more about the impact of your generosity through our ‘50 Voices for 50 Years’.
Thanks to generous matched funding, you can help us unlock additional funding and some donations made on Giving Day will even be matched pound for pound, doubling the impact of your support and helping bursaries go even further.
Yes. All online donations are processed through a secure, encrypted giving platform. Your payment details are protected at every stage, and Withington Girls’ School does not store your card information.
That’s fine. Every gift, no matter how it is given, will be counted. Other ways to give:
